Whether you’re conserving historic books and manuscripts, producing new bindings and boxes, you will ensure all work is preserved and presented at its very best.
You will be a vital point of advice for team members and colleagues, guiding them in bookbinding techniques and sharing your knowledge.
About you: With significant experience of hand bookbinding and book restoration, and with outstanding forwarding skills, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
A skilled hand craftsperson, competent in restoration techniques, you’ll already have an in-depth knowledge of the materials and methods used.
Organised in approach and with good project management skills, you’ll be adept at managing your time in order to meet deadlines.
An excellent communicator, you’ll enjoy engaging with colleagues across our varied and talented team and will be keen to share your knowledge. What’s more, your adaptability and problem solving skills will make you a real asset.
You may have professional qualifications but your experience and skillset is of greater importance, alongside a willingness to continually develop your expertise.
